Christmas Carols and Remembering Larry Koger Tonight

Hello West Coast Fans,

Tonight we celebrate the memory of our friend and business partner Larry Koger who founded West Coast Barbecue and Brew nearly 6 years ago.  We are tapping some of Larry’s favorite beers for the evening – Firestone Parabola, Thorn Street Menace Double IPA and Nickel Tripp’s Tripel (which was the last beer I got to share with Larry).  Over the weekend we tapped several Belgian Christmas beers that Larry always loved as well – Delirium Noel, Scaldis Noel, St. Bernardus Christmas and Sierra Nevada Celebration.  Look for all of the beers to be on tap by 5 pm.

In addition to sharing stories of our friend over a beer, we will be hosting our annual caroling night with help from the good folks at St. Andrews church.  The caroling will start around 8 pm giving everyone time to work into their best singing voice.  We usually carol for about an hour.  Stop by anytime this evening to lift a glass to Larry who enjoyed the life he lived and shared that joy with everyone he met.

More Beer Stuff

Just a quick update on the upcoming tappings at the pub.  This Thursday, December 14th we tap a keg of the Karl Strauss and Nickel collaboration Triple Mosaic.  This is an 8.8% alcohol version of the Karl Strauss Mosaic Session and it was brewed with 100% Mosaic hops. It is very drinkable and full of tropical fruity hop notes.

Next week we have an early Christmas present for everyone as we will be tapping a full keg of Kern River Citra on Thursday the 21st.  We will have several other goodies on tap from our friends at Kern River including the JO IPA.

Holiday Schedule

We will CLOSED on Sunday, December 24th and Monday, December 25th for Christmas.  The pub will be open normal hours on Saturday the 23rd until 11 pm and we will resume normal hours at 11:30 am on Tuesday the 26th.

We will close an hour early on Sunday the 31st at 8 pm and then we will be open normal hours from 11:30 am to 9 pm on Monday, January  1st, 2018 – hard to believe i just typed that.

That is your West Coast news for now.  Please a fun and safe holiday season with hopes that you are surrounded by loved ones.  Take care, Tom
